Q: Are your jewelry imported?
A: All of DMW's jewelry seen on this site are handcrafted/handmade unless otherwise stated.
Q: What do you mean by handcrafted/handmade? For example, The Fiddlers, they are just glued onto the rings. Seems easy.
A: Like all other jewelry crafters, we source the materials (the ear hooks, the beads, the charms etc etc) internationally, use the skills we learn from books/youtube tutorials, and then craft (join/fix/seal/assemble etc etc) the materials together by our own hands. Thus the word "Handcrafted/Handmade", our jewelry are after all NOT made by machines in factories. As for The Fiddlers, a lot of time and effort are put into making them to Fiddlers, it is certainly not easy as it seems. Try making them yourself if you still think so! If you succeed, see how long will it lasts!
Q: Will the jewelry tarnish?
A: All jewelry no matter how high the quality will tarnish one day. Thus we have created a Care Tips page providing some information on how to take care our handcrafted jewelry so that it will lasts longer. (If you leave the jewelry out in the open, it WILL oxidize/tarnish!)
Q: What kind of glue do you use for The Fiddlers (rings)? Will they break easily?
A: The Fiddlers are bonded with industrial glue. We do not use superglue or glue gun. We have tested/experimented on a lot of glues in the market. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as the perfect glue that will bond anything forever. Sometimes accidents happen (Murphy's Law) and the pieces may separate. Thus to have an added assurance for you, we do not just put a layer of glue but multiple layers of glue. Alternatively, if you still retain the parts, send it back to us and the Elves will have it glued back for Free!
Q: Help! My Criminal just got injured (broke/snap/pieces came apart etc)! How now?
A: At DMW, we pride ourselves of the time and effort we put into our jewelry. No matter how small the jewelry is, we put in our utmost care in designing it. However, we know some accidents do happen. We will ask the Elves to repair your Criminal/s on a case-to-case basis. However, most of our Criminals are one of a kind. So if you lost the main object/part such as the button or the charm or the centerpiece, we may not have a replacement piece for you. No matter what, we will try our best to help you!
Q: The illustrations are so cute! Did you draw them yourselves?
